The ACE Hardware Push Mower 7829443 is a uniquely capable outdoor tool that bridges the gap between a handheld string trimmer and a full walk-behind mower, offering more than five times the power of any handheld trimmer in a lightweight 55-pound wheeled package that is easy to maneuver across a wide range of terrain. Powered by a 170cc engine delivering 7.6 foot-pounds of torque, it handles thick grass, tall weeds, and even small saplings up to a quarter inch in diameter with far more efficiency and far less physical strain than swinging a handheld trimmer for hours. Owners have used it to clear multiple acres of overgrown vegetation in a fraction of the time it would take with conventional equipment, making it especially well suited for rural properties, fence lines, slopes, and areas where a standard lawn mower simply cannot reach.
The 22-inch cutting path uses super-duty 175-mil cutting cords, the thickest available in the industry, and the wide-body deck design actively prevents vegetation from wrapping and tangling around the trimmer head even in tall, dense growth. Five cutting height settings ranging from 1.5 to 3.5 inches give you flexibility depending on the job, and new cords can be attached in seconds without tools. For tougher jobs involving woody material, the optional DuraBlades can be swapped in to slice through growth up to 3/8 inch thick, extending the machine’s versatility well beyond standard string trimming work.
Priced at $379.99 and available at Ace Hardware, the 7829443 is backed by a 2-year warranty and has earned a strong 4.5-star rating from buyers who consistently describe it as a genuine time saver on challenging properties. It is best suited for homeowners and rural landowners dealing with half an acre or more of rough, overgrown terrain where a traditional mower is impractical, and where the power and reach of a handheld trimmer simply falls short.
